We have always been dreaming of scribbling the walls - at least, when we were young! From graffiti to wall mural, here are some ideas, in case you would be tempted to start painting your walls (again?)

� Wall mural

Instead of hanging a canvas, why don't you paint directly on the wall. In this particular case, the paint also covers a part of the door, so that the artwork become lively.

Momoko Suzuki's (erasable) pencil drawings don't look like anything else: her psychedelic style and her curved arabesques, picture a delicate world, full of fantasies.

Here is the result of an extremely realistic headboard with very little effort! NB: DOn't forget to draw the outline with a pencil before using paint!

We love the fading effect with the rest of the room's d�cor (curtain, pillows�). The plant seems to root in the curtain and extend to the ceiling: well use of perspective!

� Long live to unrestrained creation

In this hip Lima bar - Le Emolienteria, Miraflores - walls are ornamented with colorful kitsch fresco. The rest of the decoration perfectly fits in this stylish room.

Note the wrought iron window that turns into a flashy pink table and the old wheelbarrows that change into stools.

� Graffiti

Whether it is a famous or a newbie artist, street art graffiti do well on the walls! Aside from using the walls, M. Cat also make use of the ceiling and the door.

You might also use the stencil/sticker option. However, the effect is less authentic than paint.

According to the dictionary, the French word 'boudoir' means: 'a sophisticated little room in which the hostess retreats to be alone or to discuss with close friends' or 'a place for intimate affairs and secret relationships'.

Le Carmen, Paris

Le Carmen? It's a diffused light, heavy scarlet velvet curtains, small cherubs delicately playing on the walls and a lot of corners where Parisian nightlife secrets are whispered. Formerly owned by the famous composer Georges Bizet (which Opera explains the current name of the place), it could as well have been occupied by a beautiful and very courted actress of that time!

I tend to think that a boudoir has to be poky and cosy, nevertheless Philippe Starck managed to create a huge boudoir : The Lan Boudoir.

Don't miss the Lan's washroom! It is a boudoir in the boudoir. These washrooms are a variation of colored mirrors provided with 'Louis XVI' armchairs. This place truly invites you to settle your secret business.

Le Baron, Paris

This parisian nightclub is a true boudoir (I have been told that Le Baron used to be a brothel). Maybe its scandalous history contributes to make it a legendary boudoir. Appart from history, red lights, dark corners, little curtains and grand piano play a key role in creating this specific atmosphere.

Eventhough this place doesn't look like a boudoir at all, the atmosphere is clearly the same.

First, you can access this bar only through a door inside the closest shop (prohibition vestige). Once inside, a subdued light and original decoration manage to create this mysterious impression, so typical of boudoirs.

Tearooms

Some people would call tearooms - such as La Dur�e (Champs-Elys�es) - or Miremont (Biarritz) - boudoirs, but I still think that those places are too lit and mingle to be authentic boudoir.

I'm finishing up my weekend watching the students from Oprah's Academy graduate, they make you want to do better and they also make me realize how good I've had it.

I had the privilege of assisting with a DIY backyard wedding a couple of weeks ago.
In total the decor cost less than $700. The price does not include the table and chair rentals.

Chair Covers gave regular folding chairs sophistication.

We purchased them here, if you are planning an event, check them out, it's cheaper than renting. They also have sales all the time. I also used them for my daughter's sweet sixteen here.

The budget didn't allow for real flowers, so my niece & I created these centerpieces using faux roses from here .

They are so realistic that you really have to touch them to realize that they are faux flowers.

$700 well spent

My upstairs bathroom had a leak with ruined the bathroom upstairs and the family room below.

Dehumidifiers kicking out 120 degree heat, can you stay miserable in the summer?

I'm sure you're seen Martha O'Hara's design work all over the blogosphere but her work is so amazing I knew I had to feature her work. I love the design work she did on this house, it's like she designed it with me in mind. Enjoy the eye candy!

I would have totally dismissed the wallpaper in the two bathrooms above, but don't they make a stunning statement. It's high impact done well.

I would LOVE LOVE to work here, I love the paint color. Can you believe that it's the same paint in both rooms?

Are you drooling yet? Because I sure am.

OMG my appliances have turned on me... my washing machine (the devil) has finally died and my microwave/oven combo is halfway there. The microwave has completely stopped working but it is fourteen years old so I really can't complain but now it means that I have to now replace the entire unit. (cha-ching)

The devil is a Whirlpool Duet Sport and is less than 6 years old but it's a front loader and from my experience totally unreliable. That sucker has broken down numerous times since I bought it. The sad thing is that it cost me a pretty penny and I feel like I've been bamboozled. WHIRLPOOL IF YOU ARE LISTENING, STEP YOUR GAME UP. If I'm spending over a grand on an appliance, I expect that bad boy to work. Now I'm actively searching for a new machine and braving the laundromat (tears) with tons of clothes.

Does anyone out in blog land know of any really reliable front loaders? If you do please let me know.

On a bright note I created my first YouTube video, the camera man (she shall not be named) was a little shaky but I think it came out okay.
