Design Inspiration - Martha O'Hara Interiors

I'm sure you're seen Martha O'Hara's design work all over the blogosphere but her work is so amazing I knew I had to feature her work.  I love the design work she did on this house, it's like she designed it with me in mind.  Enjoy the eye candy!

I would have totally dismissed the wallpaper in the two bathrooms above, but don't they make a stunning statement.  It's high impact done well.
A hint of yellow and red... genius

OMG look at the kitchen

I don't normally like a blue bedroom, but this is ultimate serene bedroom

I would LOVE LOVE to work here, I love the paint color.  Can you believe that it's the same paint in both rooms?

Are you drooling yet?  Because I sure am.

Design Inspiration - Khachi

Happy Good Friday!

To start off your weekend, here's some eye candy from the Design Group Khachi.

Isn't that backsplash to die for?

Loving the symmetry of this room

This ceiling is killer

Marble done right

Wishing everyone a joyful and peaceful Easter.

Design Inspiration - Candice Olson

Last year, I did a post on Candice Olson's new series, "Candice Tells All".  Well, Season 3 has started up again.  Yes, Season 3, apparently Season 2 aired on HGTV and they didn't advertise it.  Sometimes, I don't think HGTV has focus groups or even remotely listen to their viewers, it actually should be called the House Hunters channel because the programming is packed up of those shows.  HGTV, if you're listening, more design less house hunting please?

I've set my DVR to record all the repeats of Candice Tells All and I've been catching the shows I've missed. As usual Candice delivered amazing rooms, here's a couple of rooms from the series that I fell in love with.  awww.... pure eye candy.

After, don't you love the pendants lights?
Loving the contrast between the cabinets and counter tops .

 Now this is an office
I'm so feeling the mirrored cabinet, that's some fancy storage

The ceiling treatment and the grass cloth wallpaper works will together in the room.

Wow, can you say DATED?

The After is so stunning, it makes you want to do a happy dance.

  It's a timeless living room

Design Inspiration - Once Upon a Time

ABC has a new show called Once Upon A Time, basely loosely on all the fairy tales we all grew up with.  I was watching it the other day and can I say the evil mayor has an office to die for, OMG!
I took a couple of screen shots hopefully can you see the genius in this room.  The room is supposed to convey darkness but trust me I would love to live in this "dark place".  Isn't it fantastic?

The lit niches above and around the fireplace create a beautiful place to display art.  The sunburst mirror has just the right glam and compliments the busy wallpaper and don't you just love the white horse?  The vase with the red apples provide a pop of color in the room.

Molding Love

Loving the wallpaper, the birch firewood and the leather chair.  So what you think?

Living Room - Mood Board

My twin sister is planning to redo her living room and I'm currently creating three mood boards so give her different ideas that she can choose from.  Below is the first of three.

1. This desk is a perfect size for the room and with the stainless steel legs it brings some contemporary design to the space.

2. I featured this sunburst mirror in a Luxe of Less post.  For the small price of $40 it certainly delivers a big bang for the buck and it's freaking fabulous.

3. This small side table is also very affordable and with the open shelf she can store her some of numerous baking books.  She's a heck of a baker and I do love her vanilla rum, oatmeal, raisin cookies. They're to die for, can't you just taste them?

4. Two of these lounge chairs with their clean lines will compliment the room and would provide timeless pieces of furniture that can work in many different decorating styles.

5. Instead of a traditional coffee table, this coffee table will provide texture to the room and could double as seating in a pinch.

6. This transitional sofa will work well in any room and with its down seating will be great place to cuddle, read a book or look up cake recipes on cake central.

7. Awww, silk drapes, they would provide a bit of luxury to room. I think every room needs a bit of luxury and these deliver while also adding more texture.

8. Isn't this rug beautiful?  Even with its geometric pattern it's not busy and will ground the room.

9.  Every room needs a little art, and these pieces deliver serious impact without being overwhelming.

10. I'm a sucker for lighting and this chandelier would be perfect, it's pure eye candy.  You know this is going to be conversation piece.

So what do you think, do you like any of these pieces?

Things I'm feeling right now

I'm a sucker for KW's imperial trellis pattern.  Are these hand lined envelopes great?
Schumacher and Dempsey & Carroll have joined forces to create these limited-edition stationery.
It's a pricey, check it out at www.dempseyandcarroll.com

Isn't this a hip light fixture? One of my favorite stores ZGallerie delivers again.  This would look great in a contemporary setting.

As I said before I currently have a slight obsession with the imperial trellis pattern (ok, maybe a big obsession), isn't this a clever little ottoman from the Cindy Crawford from her collection at JCPenney's and the price is just right - $150.

This little geometric bench is from Jeff Lewis's new collection from QVC.  A pair of these benches would great under a console desk or at bottom of the bed.

Did any of these tickle your design fancy?
