Giving Thanks this Christmas

A week ago, my baby had her sixteenth birthday party and we had a lot of food left over from the catering.  I didn't want to throw the food away so I put the food on craigslist for free as a long shot.  The response to the food shocked me, so as we all sit down to eat, think about folks going to bed hungry and donate to food kitchen when you can.

Dream's Sixteen!!

Hi Everyone, I know it's been a while since I posted anything, but I've been very busy on a very important project.
My daughter Dream is turning sixteen today.  Dream is really a dream daughter, I'm very proud to be her mother.

I threw her a sweet sixteen party this past weekend and I DIYed everything from centerpieces to party favors, so I had to take a little break from home decor.  I can now truly appreciate why people hire party planners.


Here's my baby in her first dress.


And her second dress, this dress was only $10 from H&M. Can you believe that price?


The candy bar was a hit, I made all the labels for the candy jars, water bottles and favor boxes.
And my twin sister spent numerous hours on the cake, it came out fabulous!



I also DIYed the decor, the candles above were made from $1 prayer candles and vellum paper and the centerpieces were made from silk flowers and a foam ball.


Now, I'm going to get a little rest and then start preparing for Christmas.  No rest for the weary.
