Design Inspiration - Alisberg Parker Associates

Realtors always insist that the outside and inside of your house must be cohesive.  


Well, this house below renovated by folks at Alisberg Parker Architects blows that belief out of the water.





The front of the house looks unassuming doesn't it?



The joke is on us since inside holds this stunning foyer.


The media room is to die for, hey I spy four area rugs 



This great room is scrumptious



Are there words to describe this kitchen?  




Do you see the chandeliers in the cabana, wow it just keeps getting better and better.



Do you see the water flowing over the rocks on the side of the pool?
Awwww, eye candy in it's finest form.

My CB2 Trip

I took a quick trip to CB2 today during lunch and the store did not disappoint. 


 I even got parking in the front of the store. Yup, I took this photo from my car.  Good times, good times.

Here's some eye candy to finish your Monday...


This white slab dining table is delicious



This acrylic table paired with accessories is light, airy and a conversation piece.


Accessories are plenty, chic and inexpensive; don't you love these hourglasses? 

Wow, isn't this display fabulous?  It's made up of a coffee table, four mirrors, vases, glass balls and pendants.
Can you believe each pendant is only $50?

CB2 opens this weekend!

CB2 is opening in Atlanta this week.  It's a part of the Crate and Barrel family but they sell hip furnishings like the items below. 


I'm so making a visit this weekend.


Isn't this marble coffee table a classic piece and for $299 it won't break the bank.

This firefly pendant is modern, funky and would look great over a dining room table.
Can you believe it's cost $199?


I'm in love with their Oso Dinnerware.  It chic, inexpensive and would make dinner time should a little happier plus they only cost $4 and $5.


Don't you love a great mirror?  The Perspective mirror delivers, it's funky as heck.  Love it!

Luxe for Less - Imperial Trellis Bedding



The Imperial Trellis pattern can be seen in everyday design.  It's a fabulous look and can be used in many different design styles.




The imperial trellis window panels and roman shades gives this living room designed by Brown Design a fabulous pop.



The wallpaper above featured on Kelly's Wearstler's site, gives the room a powerful punch of design.

The only thing wrong with this fabric and wallpaper is it's price. At over $100 a yard it's very very expensive. Did I mention it was expensive?

If you wanted to create bedding with an imperial trellis fabric the price of over $100 a yard would definitely be a deterrent. I was shopping for school supplies in Target when I saw that Target created a knock off pattern and created bedding.  The bedding set looks great.  I'm trying to figure out where in my house I can use it.  

Most of all the price is amazing, for $99 you get a 10 piece bedding set.  
Yeah Target!!

Design Inspiration - Selling New York

Selling New York on HGTV showcases houses the average person can't afford but I watch it anyway for the design inspiration.

Here's some of shots of an apartment that was featured on the show.  

When the Design Star candidates were given the Donald Trump challenge, I was expecting the apartments to look like the one below but unfortunately the designs were no where close to this apartment. I'm actually still waiting for them to wow me... it's been a sad season so far. But I digress, back to the design inspiration.

Some of the pictures were taken directly from the television so they're a little grainy... sorry.












This apartment was the epitome of understated elegance but $5.3 million?  It's truly a matter of location, location, location.
